ART IN THE PARK: $500 of LCC funds for Artist Demonstrator stipends. Art in the Park is a day-long event held on Winchester Common, free andf open to the public with demonstrations, participatory art, entertainment, refreshments, and a display tent for WAN members to show their art and meet with the public. It is the highlight of the month-long Art in August festival, now in its seventh year. WINCHESTER ARTISTS NETWORK DIRECTORY: $500 of LCC funds to support printing and distribution of an updated directory for 2006. The first edition was printed in 2000. WAN volunteers will provide all labor for the project. The directory facilitates artist networking, public art projects, and involvement in school art programs.
