Art in August is here! Every August for twenty years, Winchester businesses and artists have collaborated to turn the downtown area into an arts colony. The years of COVID sadly put a hold on the festival, but in 2022 we are ready to once again celebrate the arts and showcase our local artists and businesses.

Art in August begins on Thursday, August 4, 2022 with a gala opening reception at the Griffin Museum of Photography, 67 Shore Road, from 7:00–8:30 pm. Throughout the month there will be artist receptions on Thursday nights.
Residents enjoy spending time downtown to view the art exhibits, artists get some welcome exposure, and businesses support their community—and often get to meet some very interesting artists.
Art in August is sponsored by the Winchester Cultural Council and the Winchester Artists Network (WAN).
All events are free of charge to the public.
