Reception for artist

Come meet Fenway Fan and view her beautiful artwork at Catch A Falling Star on Main Street, as part of Art in August. Fenway has spent over a decade creating for global brands like Disney, Hasbro, and NBCUniversal, honing her design voice across storytelling, character development, and immersive visual worlds. Through intuitive painting, stained glass, paper art, and energy-centered artworks, Fenway creates pieces that speak to both the heart and the eye.

On Thursday, August 21, Winchester residents have a special opportunity to see and meet local artists. Meet-the-artist receptions will take place at five locations around town, featuring five different artists: watercolorist Joyce Westner, multimedia artist Brioch Ochoa,  oil painters Holly Khalil and Lucia Rubini, and mixed media artist Michiko Katsumi. All receptions are from 6–8 p.m.

The first of the 2025 "meet the artist" receptions takes place on Thursday, August 7 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Commonwealth Real Estate, 39 Church St. It features jewelry craftsman Wendy Jo New and fabric artist Susan Whitten-Clark. These receptions, part of of Art in August 2025, are where you can learn more about the artists, ask questions about their work, and see more of what they have to offer.

On Thursday, August 22, Winchester residents have a special opportunity to see and meet local artists. Meet-the-artist receptions will take place at four locations around town, featuring six different artists: oil painters Joan Baldwin and Lucia Rubini, watercolorist Carolyn Latanision and jewelry maker Juliette Kopala, painter and cyanotype maker Mary Garrity, and draftsman David Hummon. All receptions are from 6–8 p.m.

On Thursday, August 18, Winchester residents have a special opportunity to see and meet local artists. Meet-the-artist receptions will take place at five locations around town, featuring seven different artists: fabric artists Sue Clark, Denise Konicek and Kiyomi Yatsuhashi; jewelry maker Wendy Jo New, painter and jewelry maker Teri Coté, and painters Michiko Katsumi and Lucia Rubini. All receptions are from 6–8 p.m.

These artist receptions, part of Art in August 2022, are where you can learn more about the artists, ask about their work see more of what they have to offer. Refreshments will be served. Come and have a cultural evening downtown!
