Art in August 2024 Now Open!

Art in August is here! For over twenty years, Winchester businesses and artists have collaborated to turn the downtown area into an arts colony during the month of August. The festival has now begun for the summer of 2024.

Throughout the month, creations of local artists will be on display in windows and inside stores in downtown Winchester. In addition, be sure to visit the meet-the-artist receptions on Thursday evenings.

This year's festival will also see the return of Art in the Park on Saturday, August 17, a full day of arts activities on the Common at the Winchester Farmers' Market.

Now available:

New this year! Several of the Art in August artists are featured on the Art in August channel of the augmented reality app Hoverlay. Learn more about the artists and see their creations in a whole different light by downloading the free Hoverlay app—also the platform for the extensive Winchester Riverwalk exhibition presented by the Winchester Cultural District.

Art in August is sponsored by the Winchester Cultural Council and the Winchester Artists Network (WAN).

All events are free of charge to the public.
