  • Ayan Ghosh (Winchester). Origami Outreach, a booth by artist Ghosh Ayan at the Farmers Market and (occasionally) at WHS to feature exhibitions demonstrating interesting origami structures.$256 
  • North Suburban Child & Family Resource Network (Wakefield). Cool Banana Wig Concert & Craft Session. An April school vacation week project at the Winchester Recreation Department. Cool Banana Wig is a 5-piece all-original, interactive kids band focused on bringing kids to the stage to play home-made instruments crafted by the band members and/or unusual instruments. $675
  • Porchfest Winchester (Winchester). Winchester Porchfest 2022. Porchfest is a one day, volunteer-driven, free community event that provides public venues for individuals and groups to share their music and performance art.  $1,500
  • Chip Sloan (Winchester). "Zamboni," a one-man performance at Winchester's bookstore, Bookends, of an original play—a musical puppet show with original music and lyrics. It will be performed in 12 successive installments of working read- and sing-through sessions, with music performed and lyrics sung by the author. $500
  • The Griffin Museum of Photography (Winchester). The third installment of a large-scale exhibition of photography throughout the Winchester Cultural District. The display will include a section for Winchester High School students, and this year will also include sculpture. Light shows and collaborations with musicians and photographers are planned. $1,500
  • Town of Winchester (Winchester). Winchester Oral History Program. A project to reactivate the Winchester Archives oral history program after a ten year hiatus, led by Joanna Shea O'Brien, an oral historian with over twenty years of experience. $800
  • Winchester After School Program (Winchester). Tanglewood Marionettes. A winter vacation performance of "The Dragon King" by the renowned Tanglewood Marionettes for K-6 students at both Kids' Corner and Winchester Recreation's after school programs. $862
  • Winchester Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (Winchester). Visit Winchester Website. Supports development by the Winchester Chamber of Commerce of a website that will not only promote the local businesses and organizations in Winchester, but will also promote all the wonderful outdoor and cultural experiences Winchester has to offer. $1,000
  • Winchester Community Music School Trust (Winchester). WCMS 40th Anniversary Commission Project.  An outdoor “pops” style concert at the Winchester Community Music School featuring members of the WCMS woodwind, brass, and percussion faculty, and including a musical work commissioned to commemorate theschool's 40th anniversary. $1,000
  • Winchester School of Chinese Culture, Inc. (Winchester). Chinese New Year celebration. The annual festival of the Chinese New Year presented by Winchester School of Chinese Culture has been moved online; grant funding will support hiring of professional videographers for the event. $600
  • Wright-Locke Farm Conservancy, Inc. (Winchester). String Quartet Concert Series. Grant funding supports a series of four monthly concerts in Wright-Locke Farm's new All Seasons Barn. $1,200

  • Winchester Foundation for Educational Excellence (Winchester). Authorfest. An annual celebration of children's literature, held on Zoom. Students will continue to share the experience of "meeting" a published author or illustrator. $900
  • Winchester School of Chinese Culture (Winchester). Arts and Health Online Classes by artist and psychologist Dr. Alice Yen-Ling Chen to show people how to use music, dance, visual arts and other forms of arts to release stress and improve health. $500
  • Winchester Recreation Department (Winchester). "A Night at the Museum". Children at Kid Connection preschool choose an author/illustrator from a work of children's literature, learn more about the author and style of illustrating, and create their own illustrations, which will be displayed in a public setting. $900
  • Mary Jo Maichack (Lenox). "Aesop’s Fables 3D Mini Puppet Theatre Craft and Recording". Children are sent materials to make miniature 3D puppet theatres based on the fables of Aesop, with a link to a recording demonstrating how to make the theatres and use them to tell the stories. $495
  • Karen Fullerton (Winchester). "Letters Trellis 2". Continuing a project from last year, a letter-writing booth will be set up at the Winchester Farmers’ Market where visitors may create a letter. $750
  • Winchester Farmers’ Market (Winchester). Music Tent. To support musical performances at the Farmers' Market . Supported by town funding. $775
  • Griffin Museum of Photography (Winchester).  "The Fence". The Griffin Museum of Photography will again bring the largest public photography installation in North America to the Winchester Cultural District. This year the exhibition will feature musical selections recorded by faculty of the Winchester Community Music School and available for streaming to internet-enabled devices via a QR code. Supported by town funding. $1,500
  • Mouli Pal (Wilmington). "Fluid Soul at Mystic Lakes" A collaborative project featuring Indian classical dance accompanied by soprano saxophone, recorded outdoors at Mystic Lake, to be streamed online on a later date. $300
  • Don Daniel (Winchester). "The Just A Minute Festival". An international festival of short videos, each one minute or less in duration, which is produced in Winchester. $425
  • Winchester Community Music School (Winchester). "Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Winchester Community Music School".  For a commission to commemorate the music school’s 40th anniversary. The composer will be a WCMS faculty member or alum; the work will highlight genres and themes that span the last four decades in music history. Supported by town funding. $1,000
  • Network for Social Justice (Winchester). "Documenting Winchester's Culture of Inclusion". To document successes and challenges in in the 30-year history of the Network for Social Justice via interviews conducted with the organization's founders, key stakeholders, and community partners. $500
  • Ellen Knight/Winchester Archival Center (Winchester). "Expanding Winchester History Online". To add content to Winchester History Online (WHO), a digital gateway to exploring Winchester history. $$700

  • Winchester After School Program, Kids' Corner (Winchester). The Fourth Wall's "Fruit Flies Like a Banana," an arts enrichment program for children in kindergarten through sixth grade that includes a novel and engaging hybrid performance style that makes the arts more accessible to children. $500
  • Winchester Community Music School (Winchester). Faculty Concerts . A dynamic line-up of musical programming featuring free live music by WCMS faculty throughout the school year. $500
  • Roger Tincknell (Shutesbury). "From Ireland to America". A one-hour music festive celebration of Irish and Irish-American culture at the Jenks Center that includes lovely Irish ballads, sea shanties, and Irish American work songs, from familiar traditional Irish and Irish American sing-alongs to toe-tapping jigs and reels instrumentals. $300
  • League of Women Voters (Winchester). "We Did It For You". A musical theater performance at McCall Middle School that provides a quick tour through the journey that women have taken to get rights in the United States. $500
  • New Repertory Theatre (Watertown). Shakespeare's "Romeo And Juliet". A performance by New Repertory Theatre's Classic Repertory Company for students at Winchester High School. $450
  • North Suburban Child & Family Resource Network (Wakefield). "ScienceTellers: Aliens Escape from Earth". A science-oriented presentation for families at the Winchester Recreation Department. $350
  • John Root (Amherst). "A Celebration of Song". An hour-long program at the Winchester Nursing Center featuring familiar songs from the first half of the twentieth century. $350
  • First Congregational Church (Winchester). "Ecomusic: Conservation as an Artistic Practice". A three-pronged conservation residency at the First Congregational Church combining conservation, art, and music. $600
  • George Gilmer (Winchester). Winchester Porchfest. Porchfest is a unique, volunteer-organized, one-day community-building music festival. Winchester residents will lend their porches as pop-up micro-stages to amateur musicians who will showcase their musical talent to neighbors who will walk around town and join other community members in enjoying concerts and the atmosphere. $1,500
  • Griffin Museum of Photography (Winchester).  "The Fence". As the first event of the Winchester Cultural District, the Griffin Museum of Photography will bring the largest public photography installation in North America to Winchester.  $1,500
  • Karen Fullerton (Winchester). "Letters Trellis". Five times during the summer a letter-writing booth will be set up on the Winchester Common where visitors may create a letter. A writing table, chair, and writing supplies (including pens, paper, envelopes, and postage stamps) will be centered within the semi-enclosed space, inviting inspiration from the sense of community surrounding the writer. $507
  • Scott Jameson (Manchaug). "Imagine Your Story". A unique 45–50 minute family-oriented magic and juggling performance at the Winchester Public Library. $550
  • Joyce Westner (Winchester). "This Is Winchester: Town Meeting". A video, showing in story form the election process, creation of warrant articles, and discussion of issues at the meeting, is intended to encourage more residents to get involved in their government. $50
